Two of my great passions—after design, of course—are cooking and music. Imagine my delight when I encountered Nanta, a combination of both!
Also known as Cookin’, or Cookin’ Nanta, it is a South Korean non-verbal comedy show that incorporates traditional samul nori rhythm, in this case performed with improvised instruments such as cutting boards, water canisters and kitchen knives. Nanta premiered in October 1997, and is the longest-running show in Korean history.
