Julia Pott is a British animator and illustrator now living in Brooklyn, New York. In the short time that she’s been out of school and working professionally, she’s developed quite a list of clients, among whom you’ll find the likes of Madewell, Hermés, Citizen M Hotels, Virgin Media, CASIO, Chronicle Books and Crate & Barrel.
That’s not all, though: her films have played at festivals worldwide, including Sundance and SXSW, and garnering coveted awards. Which might be why she was named “One of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film” by Filmmaker Magazine and “One of the 37 Indie Film Breakouts” by Indiewire in 2012. Oh, and she was a Young Gun the same year. In 2013, she continued to get well-deserved recognition: she was named one of three “Animators to Watch” by Creative Review.
And this multifaceted, talented artist finds time to blog for the Huffington Post as well—how do you do it, @juliapott? You even keep your studio so neat and tidy… [sigh]
